Editorial policy

How the articles and guides on the ProLister blog are produced, checked and kept up to date.

Who produces the content

All articles and guides are written and reviewed by the ProLister team. We do not publish guest posts, sponsored articles or content supplied by third parties.

How factual claims are researched

When an article makes a factual claim about platform rules, advertising standards, copyright or regulation, we base it on the primary source - for example platform help centres and policy pages, the NAR Code of Ethics, or the US Copyright Office - and link directly to that source in the article's "Sources and further reading" section. We do not publish statistics, studies or quotes we cannot point to.

How product claims are tested

Statements about what ProLister's enhancement does - what it changes in a photo and what it leaves untouched - come from testing our own product on real listing photos, including the before/after examples shown on this site. Where an article describes ProLister's own testing, it says so. We do not present our internal testing as independent industry research, and we do not claim that better photos guarantee more sales, leads, bookings or revenue.

How content is reviewed and updated

Articles are reviewed periodically for accuracy, broken links and changes in platform policies. Each article shows a "Last reviewed" date; the current catalogue-wide review date is . When an article is replaced by a better one, the old address redirects permanently to the new one. Because we do not always know the original publication date of older articles, we show a review date rather than inventing one.

A note on legal topics

Articles that touch on copyright, disclosure or advertising rules are general information, not legal advice. Rules vary by country, state and platform, so consult a qualified professional for your specific situation.
